Arabella had an enchanting day as she explored the beautiful sounds of the violin! From the moment she picked up the instrument, she felt a sense of excitement and curiosity. The violin, with its elegant shape and shiny strings, seemed to invite her into a world of music and melody.




Arabella started by carefully holding the violin under her chin, just like she learned in her music classes. With the bow in her hand, she gently drew it across the strings, and to her delight, a sweet, rich note filled the room. She was thrilled by how just a simple movement could create such beautiful music!

As she continued to play, Arabella experimented with different notes and rhythms, trying out the skills she had learned at Rhythm Time. She loved discovering how pressing the strings in different places made higher or lower sounds. It was like a magical puzzle, and each new note was a piece that fit perfectly into her musical journey.

Arabella’s favorite part of the day was trying to play some simple tunes she knew from her Rhythm Time class. 

Throughout the day, Arabella also took time to listen to the sounds of the violin, noticing how the vibrations felt under her fingers and how the music filled the room. It reminded her of the importance of listening and feeling the music, just like she does during her Rhythm Time classes.

Playing the violin was not only fun but also a special way for Arabella to express herself and connect with the music she loves.

Arabella has been camping at New Barn Farm in Bedfordshire, and she’s had so much fun listening to and imitating the animals—the pigs, horses, and chickens. Oink, neigh, cluck cluck! Can you say these sounds, boys and girls? Don’t forget to use the British Sign Language we learned in our classes too! In the mornings, Arabella enjoyed the sweet songs of the birds, and in the evenings, she loved toasting marshmallows while listening to the crackle, crackle of the campfire.
